Video Poker is a favored game that is able to be wagered on in casinos all over the world, or in your house on your personal computer, using an Internet connection. The rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player attempting to achieve the best mixture of cards as you can in order to acquire cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a normal game of poker, minus the interaction with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the bettor puts credits (whether it is tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A 5 card hand will be electronically ‘given out’ on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has hold buttons, and gamblers should now choose which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the player wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.

After the bettor has selected which cards he would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards will be given out if desired. The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.

Normally, the lowest succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can range from machine to machine, so that skillful enthusiasts are agile enough to select the most beneficial ones each instance.

After the first round has finished, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that have been won. Additionally, several versions of the game give the gambler an opportunity to double their wins, in which situation another round is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
